Abstract

How does an historian look at religion?

Historian of Religious Culture John O'Malley discusses how to approach religion as an historian. Emphasizing the newfound interest in religion that many historians have recently taken up, O'Malley believes that their focus is somewhat misconstrued. Religion, for O'Malley, is what satisfies the human heart.
