Abstract
What has influenced your career development?
Dr. Martin Marty discusses his life and his experience in becoming a teacher. He says that this profession provides the opportunity to converse on a deeper level with a few people as opposed to his work as a writer, where you can only indirectly affect readers before moving on to the next book. Even though he enjoyed his work as an ordained Lutheran minister, he eventually discovered his talent as a teacher.
