Abstract

What do proofs of the existence of God offer to religious believers?

Dr. Martha Reineke discusses the element of control that occurs from investigations that attempt to prove the existence of God. Dr. Reineke values the “messiness” of religion, and sees control and the tightening of language of religion as not helpful to believers.
