Abstract
What is the most important theological issue for the Catholic Church today?
Dr. Maria Pilar Aquino clearly states that the first most vital issue for the American Catholic Church is the connection between faith and social justice. Secondly, she believes in the importance of the Church’s reaction to social movements of recent years such as capitalism, democratization, and globalization. She also speaks of the feminist critique of the church and how it is posing the greatest challenge for the Church and its hierarchy.
