Abstract
Who has been most influential in your work in ethics?
Dr. Margaret Farley discusses her appreciation for two modern scholars of ethics that have influenced her. First she expresses gratitude for Jules Toner, S.J., who taught undergraduate courses at the University of Detroit. She also expresses appreciation for her dissertation director at Yale, James Gustafson. Farley mentions the influence of other great thinkers that have affected her thinking such as Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Theresa of Avila, and Karl Rahner, S.J., who have explored the same questions she finds worth exploring.
