Abstract
What was the most important event for the Church in the 20 th century?
Dr. Margaret Farley discusses the Second Vatican Council as the most important event of the 20 th century. She believes that Vatican II specifically marked the areas of ecclesiology, ecumenism, and liturgy. She is also clear to comment on the difficulty of keeping these developments in the Church alive today, especially for a generation who is unaware of the Church before Vatican II.
