Abstract
How has television influenced the study of Religion?
Dr. Jonathan Z. Smith discusses what impact TV has had on the study of religion. Dr. Smith points out that TV shows the differences between peoples and cultures. It also fosters the use of television behavior as a standard for what is and is not offensive. On the other hand, education helps people make judgments about what they see on TV.
