Abstract

Are there multiple Deities?

Dr. Jonathan Z. Smith discusses the question of multiple Gods. From the middle ages to the 15 ^th and 16 ^th century, Christian literature only discussed true and false claims about God. The question was never about the oneness of God. This issue of singularity is a new question about which there is a limited number of writings.
