What are the most important discussions in today’s Catholic Church?
Rev. Dr. Charles Curran discusses the development of the preferential option for the poor, a product of the growth of the study of Liberation Theology. Although it has been the Catholic belief that God has always held the poor as his own, theology has been able to grasp the real need for immediate concern for the poor and for social justice issues through this principle.
