Abstract

How do you see women participating in scholarly work in religion?

Dr. Catherine Bell discusses women’s growing understanding of scholarly engagement with the study of religion not by ignoring tradition, but by understanding their location within it. She also discusses the advancement of women in the study of religion as one that has overcome the many obstacles of a patriarchal profession.
