Abstract

Has the American Church made any progress since Rerum Novarum ?

Dr. Anne Carr discusses the importance of social issues within the American Catholic Church. She thinks that many of today’s social issues as well as the declining numbers in clergy have given rise to a new empowerment of the laity.
