About

Michelle Leigh Farrell earned her Ph.D. in Spanish: Literature and Cultural Studies from the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. In her research she focuses on the Spanish-speaking Caribbean and Brazilian national cultural productions in literature and film. As a trilingual scholar, she teaches Spanish language, Portuguese language, Latin American film and literature and is active in fostering a dialogue in her research between Brazil and Spanish-speaking Latin America.
