About
Dr. Barba earned a PhD in mathematics education at Teachers College, Columbia University, an MSc in pure mathematics at King’s College London, and a BSc in mathematics from Fairfield University. Her research interests include mathematical mindsets, mathematics identities, mathematics anxiety, mathematics discourse, mathematics in popular culture, and mathematics in social media. Before returning to Fairfield, Dr. Barba taught secondary math at Roger Ludlowe Middle School and Fairfield Ludlowe High School.
