About

Jie Tao is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management in the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University. Dr. Tao holds a doctoral degree in Information Systems from Dakota State University. He participates in constructing the curriculum for the new Masters in Science for Business Analytics program at Fairfield University. His recent research interests majorly include Business Process Management and Business Analytics. He has published several papers in prestigious Information Systems journals. He has also presented research articles at premier academic conferences such as Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), Hawaii International Conferences on System Sciences (HICSS), International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and Workshop on Information Technology and Systems (WITS). Dr. Tao is also an active member in Information Systems professional communities such as INFORMS, Decision Support Institute (DSI), and Association for Information Systems (AIS). He is also a member of the AIS technology committee, and received the AIS ATLAS award in 2013 for his service to AIS.
